Lebenon as the president of the security council....LoL. How does a country who does not know how to spell the word security, a government known worldwide to comprise of a terrorist organization...essentially an apartheid state..how can they head the security council net alone be on the council???? The is not one logical reason to grant Palastine a state through the UN, it completely ignores the rights of the other party - Israel in this case. It will certainly not address a major concern for the Palastinians, namely their call for refugees right of return. It's gives Abbas every reason not to negotiate, (without preconditions), despite Israel's conituall invitation to re-open negotiations. The world is not helping the Palastinian people, by supporting this illogical move by Abbas. Few successful regions resolved their issues through unilateral moves, Ireland, sudan, Bosinia etc. It's time for all who truly want to see a palistinian state to support both parties to do the right thing, here the Quartet has been nominated, they call for negotiations, NEGOTIATE Abbas, we have Israel offer many times to do so, at the UN, on public TV - it's up to you. Don't continue miss opportunities likenyou have since 1947, when Palistine was divided into two regions, (of which the Palistinians) received the mojority of the fertile land, while the Jews received the Negev desert. Don't blow it again for another 64 plus years- look how Israel has developed into a powerhouse, of science, medicine, technology, a powerful economy and look how your people live in Gaza, the west bank and in the refugees - Abbas your irresponsible behavior off completely ignoring the rights of the other party, Israel, and unilateral behavior is now on your head, and your baised supporters. Simply, it won't work!!!!
