All Diaspora communities are important and valuable. But can somebody explain to me why Finland appears a few times a year as "news" in this section? 1400 Jews? So, hey have an Israeli born Chief Rabbi? OMG!!! Caracas (Jewish pop.15,000) had one who was a Lt. Col. in Tzahal and another who was a Math college professor at the same time. Costa Rica has a beautiful Synagogue who wont architecture prizes. Argentina has a town were the names of the street are written in Yiddish. What about small communities in the Pacific? Asia? Europe today? So many Jewish communities that are never ever mentioned in "Jewish World News" with way more people. The 1400 Finnish most be very rich.
