Israel has never threatened to "wipe another country off the map". Further, Israel has had the components of the bomb for over 40 years but never tested it or threatened to use it. If Iran goes publicly nuclear, the Saudis and Egypt will need to go there to, to protect their regional influence. And Israel, in this scenario, will need to double its own arsenal so that potential adversaries know that if Israel disappears, the entire region disappears with her.
