I see two alternatives for Israel: - a total stop of the subisdes to these religious beggars/blackmailers (to yeshivot, schools etc...), to try to reduce their influence, if not too late - or prepare to an Israeli Iran in a few decades. - or prepare to a split of the country If Israel doesn't face strongly this reality, some years from now, it will need to send the army in the streets and shoot, because those fanatics will not hesitate to do the reverse when the demographics will be in their favors (just look at what they are doing now with their means to be convinced what they will do when they will be the majority). Call me crazy if you want, but, unless the seculars surrender or leave the country, this will lead to the repetition of ancient history, where Israel will unfortunately split into two entities, one religious, fanatic, and the other secular, modern. I'm not crazy: that's exactly what is happening under our eyes! Fortunately, this time, the modern Israel will probably survive. I wouldn't be so sure that the religious fanatic one would have the strength to do the same. And please do not believe that I'm happy of that.
