Caroline Glick's recent Jerusalem Post column on Peres depicts decades of harming Israel's interests almost every chance he got. His role in the Johnathan Pollard case is downright loathesome. We can be thankful that Begin, not Peres, was Prime Minister while Saddam Hussein was building nuclear bomb capability. Peres never would have had the courage or wisdom to do what Begin did. In sum, I believe Peres has done more damage to Israel than Arafat, whose P.L.O. he brought to life when it was moribund. Few of Israel's enemies have done as much damage as Peres.
