Fayyad achieved what could be termed as a miracle by some. So much in just 2-3 years. If he could do that to the west bank, then given the opportunity by Netanyahu, he can help Gaza develop as well. But obviously Netanyahu doesnt want an independant Palestine or one that is prosperous at least. The current israeli govt just focuses on rockets and Iran, using the fear factor to erode support for a free palestinian state but the real solution is right in front of him. Men like Fayyad,Yassr Abed Rabbo aswell as Ben Eleizer and Yossi Beilin in Israel, people who know about economic developement and its significance, are being ignored and disempowered for a more hawkish agenda that will ultimately lead to more chaos and destructive violence in the long run.
