When Israel does nothing but flatter the Palestinian PM, one can do nothing but suspect. Fayyad has achieve nothing but imposing security on his own people through ruthless measures and his "economic boom" is more a property bubble about to burst. Israel praises him, for he is delivering exactly what they wanted: a false sense of progress and stability that makes the settlement of the conflict appear less urgent. If you couple it with "interim agreements" such as the one proposed by Mr Shavit here, you have the perfect recipe for continued occupation for the foreseeable future. But I doubt Palestinians will fall for this crude trap. They all know Israel can't be trusted. Occupation was also supposed to be temporary, and that was 43 years ago. Get out of Palestine now!
