Plain and simple. Israel made all kinds of promises if the PA would eliminate all vestiges of Hamas from the Palestinian government. We in America are still waiting for 700 million dollars, removed checkpoints, an end to Israeli military actions in the West Bank. Just like before, all Israel is doing is delaying and delaying, hoping Fatah will screw up and Israel will say, "they are all terrorists." Empowering Abbas is Israel's only hope for peace, otherwise, Israel is doomed to forever being a target of everyone. Creating a Palestinian state according to the Arab peace initiative is Israel's last hope for peace, because if there is no state, fundamental Islamists will infiltrate Palestine, like they did Lebanon, and eat Israel for lunch, just like they did in Lebanon. Qassam rockets are one thing, when they start launching Katusha rockets from Gaza and the West Bank, where can you hide?!?!?!
