Mr. Burson’s sarcastic rhetorical question is a trap that too many people fall into when they start relying on any kind of labeling of others and the stigmatizing, non productive effects of using labels to make generalizations. It’s a superficial way to understand a problem, used only to lash out in anger or make a quick diagnosis. Quick diagnoses usually don't lend themselves to making progress. In reality, leftist, rightist, conservative, have more in common then not. The real issues of fear, indoctrination, poverty, lack of opportunity and education, are the same and haven't changed. By focusing on the label, “...leftist?” you get people’s anger up and off of the REAL ISSUE, which is a left wing, right wing, orthodox, secular issue and everything in between issue...the OCCUPATION, which is ruining both peoples lives.
