I disagree with the author. If Assad falls, then a Sunni leader will probably take over. Such a leader will not look kindly of any repression on the Sunnis in Lebanon by Hezbollah. Since Hezbollah is useful for Syria strategically vis-a-vis Israel, Syria will probably try to keep it well armed and trained although will probably demand that it surrenders some of its political power to the Sunnis.
