I agree. It doesn't matter. Falafel was brought to Israel by Mizrahi Jews. Right now, these Mizrahi Jews live in Israel, they make about 50% of the population. So yes, it is Israel's national food. It is very stupid to keep arguing about this issue. Btw, I once had lunch with a Lebanese Jew at a good hummus place in Tel-Aviv. And guess what? We spoke Arabic.
