Netanyahu's absence will demonstrate another failure of Netanyahu's policies. Netnyahu ran for office not on a platform of any peace he would achieve, but by emphasizing the Iran danger and, by implication, that he would take care of it. And here comes an international conference on how to defend against nuclear terrorism, clearly convened because of the Iran danger and seemingly God's answer to Netanyahu's prayers, and Baby Bibi is unable to show up. Note that present will be the presidents of Russia and China, the Prime Minister of India, and other top leaders, a golden opportunity for Netanyahu to "work them over", but he really can't be present. I don't blame Netanyahu for not showing up under the present circumstances. He would only come if the White House would show some warmth and not coldness that would aggravate his political situation at home. But the problem is: The present unfavorable circumstances are due to Ntanyahu's OWN making. His own conduct with respect to the palestinians and peace with them turns the US and the rest of the world against him. He is unable to achieve that which he wants to achieve. This is a failure of the first order, according to Netanyahu's OWN standards.
