Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. If a "peace partner" occupies another people and deprives them of their human rights with a military occupation, then that "peace partner" has failed. It is fruitless to negotiate as a prisoner while the jailer keeps you locked up, consumes your food and decimates your family. Israel is not a "peace partner."
