The new conditions posed by PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat for the continuation of the peace talks amount to an ultimatum that is best met with a response of silence. In other words they should not be dignified with a response. The reality is that the whole process was never going to succeed. The Palestinians simply sought concessions and stonewalled in return. The Israelis unfortunately never stopped building on lands regarded by Palestinians as theirs. A recipe for failure from the beginning.
