So, there are those in the U.S. who think the Israelis should make important gestures to pave the way to negotiations with the Pals. My view is that this article demonstrates that there is no appetite for peace in critically important parts of the Arab world. More important, there is no appetite for peace amongst the "moderate" Palestinians. The two faced character of the Pals is impossible to miss in the following quotes (and of course the assumption I am working on is that they are accurate): [Referring to Assad and Gadhafi's suggestion that Pals reject the peace process and take up violence (as if there isn't any violence), "Senior Abbas aide Nabil Abu Rdeneh dismissed the pressure. "Let us be realistic. We will not follow those who have special agendas," he told Al-Jazeera television. "We are ready for any Arab option. If they want to go to war let them declare that and mobilize their armies and their people and we will follow suit," Abu Rdeneh said.
