With the thin edge of the wedge of European and possibly even U.S. willingness to accept the Hamas-Fatah unity government and to provide aid and other support, what will the Israeli response be? The reaction will be what has always worked in the past - because of some concocted crisis, the IDF will employ its tanks, armoured bulldozers and attack helicopters in an incursion against the Palestinians which will be guaranteed to provoke a violent response. Israel will then say: " These are not appropriate partners for peace or for recognition as a viable government." I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see.
