Haaretz is to be complimented for the quality of its reporting on this issue which vividly highlights how oppressive the Israeli occupation is of Palestinian land and the shameless theft of resources. If it was happening anywhere else in the world it would not be tolerated. Such tactics gave rise to widespread "terrorism" in rural Ireland during the 19th century with attacks on settlers of a different kind but who operated with the same shamless self-interest shown by the Israeli state and settlers. It's hard to believe that this kind of behaviour could be tolerated in a so-called democracy.
