"Governments that tolerate impunity in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict weaken their calls for accountability in places such as Sri Lanka, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo," last time I checked, nobody was calling for accountability in Sri Lanka, Sudan, or DRC. What has happened in the Sudan has been called genocide by various international bodies. The final round of fighting in Sri Lanka included attacks on UN compounds, which, coming soon after the outcry when Israel did something similar in Gaza, should have elicited an international outcry but didn't. Instead everyone focuses on Israel ad infinitum. If you want to strengthen international law, step up the efforts on these much more severe conflicts. Israel will be under some serious pressure then.
