This post spells out exactly what I and many other young American Jews feel. I am tired of being lambasted if I disagree or critisize something Israel does. Just like if someone smokes, I am trying to tell Israel that what it is doing is hurting them in the long run. I want to be able to have my great great grandchildren be able to visit this great place, but the idea that only right or center right ways of thinking is correct is rediculous. Another problem is most American Jewish organizations won't ever allow criticism of Israel (ADL, AJC, etc. come to mind) even though they are reflective of other liberal causes that American Jews feel (i.e. gay marriage, etc.) Enough already! I am a Jew who loves Israel but also hates some of the things it does. Period.
