Even if every one of his contentions about the treatment of Palestinians in Jerusalem is right, his wrong conclusion that may be drawn from his article is that politics call for letting Jerusalem or part of it become the capital of a future Palestinian state.Elie Wiesel may not take into account down to earth politics but Yossi takes a false & dangerous view of the long term political objectives of the majority of the Palestinians & the majority of the Moslems of the world which is to deny Israel the right to existence. Is Yossi blind & deaf to the promises of future genocide coming from Iran & from elsewhere which entertain the hope of Palestinians & prevents any true concessions & coexistence? Can he not see that splitting Jerusalem would only give the first step of legitimacy for Palestinians to claim everything else at a later more favourable time?
