Those Gazan Industries were very productive and cost effective, they turned millions of shekels in profit annually exporting to Europe and Farther. Cheap Labor and Land were a big part of it, but a valid part. The Palestinians had jobs then, they don't now. The farms produced food then, they don't now. Everyone is a loser in this. Everyone. Of course it will be expensive to compensate them, the state did something wrong and cost a lot of people their livelihoods, compensation is going to be costly and it should be.
