Earlier, mortar shells were fired into Israeli territory in apparent spillover from Syria war.12:12 13.10.15 | 4 comments
The "two-sate" formula has been the formaldehyde to preserve the peace process. Even Ariel Sharon -in the past- and AIPAC talk about it. All that we see is continued creation of facts in the West Bank and starving of Gaza. Hamas has indicated its readiness to peace several times in the past. It observed a unilateral cesefire for 16 months and offered an indefinite ceasefire - indications of willingness to re-consider its charter. Israel has spurned Hama's overtures by killing Ghulam abu Samdhana and continued killings of children in Gaza. Including the shelling of the Ghaliya family. If Israel was truly intestered in peace rather than expanding territory at the expense of Palestinians, it would have seized the Hamas offer and the Arab League resolution for normalisation of relations. Israel is the occupying power and can dictate terms. Hamas and Abbas cannot.
