Why is Turkey so intent davka at this time to put-Israel-in-its-place...? Is is because in any case its between-seasons for the spendthrift Israel holiday-makers and revelers...? Or is it because the Goldsone bandwagon is too- good-to-miss...?- Esther Esther, I had not followed the Turkey Israeli relations closely until about a year ago. I did see the video of Peres at Davis with Endogen. But prior to that it seemed that Israel made Endogen look foolish when he was trying to mediate between Israel and Syria. During that time Israel bombed Syria. I think that Erdogan was acting in good faith and wanted to contribute to the situation in a positive way. All hwe got for his efforts were insults, snubs and humiliated by Israel. I do not think that Endogen is trying to put Israel in its place as you state it. Erdogan after so many insults and embarrassment has probably decided that he has nothing to gain and much to lose at home and abroad by continuing to be cordial to Israel. I do not see the malice as much as well deserved treatment in kind. PS what does davka mean?
