'There’s a unique place of pique for the Israelis in certain places in the administration' hovering over negotiations, expert tells New York Times.08:55 29.04.16 | 0 comments
S: "UN 242 requires borders to be negoatiated between Israel and the parties of the war" No, it said no such thing. It said that everyone had to recognize each other's boundaries. It said nothing about one side or another - or, indeed, anyone - having the right to demand that those boundaries be redrawn to their benefit. That's not to say that the boundaries CAN NOT be redrawn, but it is to say that Res 242 does not "require" that the boundaries MUST BE redrawn.
