As to hypocrisy, Iran is a sugar daddy and tremendous supporter of Assad. Turkey claims to be opposed to Assads murderous behaviour and policies, yet Tayyip cozies up to Iran! What am I missing? Tayyip, in saying that peaceful nuclear ambitions shouldn't be opposed, says something completely uncontroversial. He side steps the issue of whether in fact Iran's amibions are peaceful. As to common sense, it strikes me that Tayyip would agree that if a small country , with a small population, has an implacable, venomous, delusional, violent enemy, with a large population and tremendous resources and a willingness or even enthusiasm for sacrificing its own, then that small country should do what is necessary to defend herself. She must even out the playing field so to speak. So common sense tells us that if Israel has nuclear weapons, what she has is perfectly appropriate.
