He is indeed an Islamist but until now has managed to avoid the label of radical islamist and maintained good relations with Israel. The mistake here is Israel's. No country would remain silent when 9 of its citizens are killed for trying to do what they believe is right and just. You might not agree with Erdogan or the flotilla idea but the facts are the facts. As a Jew and a Zionist I was appalled by the killings and hope Israel and Turkey will somehow be able to repair their relationship. I put the blame squarely on Netanyahu who is leading Israel to radical Judaism and destruction. Turkey will never become an Iran. The Turks would not have it but it seems to me Israel is moving ever closer to becoming a radical regime. I fear for the country I love and pray for change.
