As all of his erstwhile supporters join the international chorus of condemnation against Assad's violent attempts to silence the protesters in his country, he must by necessity reconcile himself to the fact that his days as a totalitarian ruler are numbered and that he will soon join the ranks of other potentates of Arab States who have been either ousted or had to flee their countries.
