Erdogan plays no favorites. He sent the flotilla to break the Gaza blockade. He has stopped Iranian flights over Turkey that were bringing weapons to Hizbollah through Syria. He condemned Assad's violence against the Syrian people. Erdogan is a mand to takes pains to get along with neighbors but who will not tolerate major injustices. Of course he is hated by Israelis since he does not have the "Support Israel with no questions asked" mindset In the eyes of the world however, Erdogan is well respected and popular. The most pro-Israel body in the world, the American Senate, has no criticism of Erdogan. Unlike Netanyahu, Erdogan is not known as a liar and a thief.
