Erdogan is a ranting and raving lunatic. He behaves more like a spoiled child kicking its feet on the ground because Mommy wouldn't buy them a toy. He was complicit in allowing the Flotilla to take place knowing that it would put a strain on relations with Israel. Yet undaunted he continued. His government surely knew that there were violent elements aboard the vessels. Sadly for Turkey he can't handle the truth. The truth is that he made a massive error and is trying to use belligerency and flawed foreign policy to fix it. While Israel should voice regret, which it has done and pay compensation which it will also do, Erdogan is demanding impossible conditions. There will never be a reversal of the Gaza blockade just because Turkey says so. Israel will also NEVER apologize for protecting its citizens. Erdogan had hoped to blackmail Israel into apologizing and then had the rug swept out from under him. He could not maneuver to save face when the report was released. Now he is hell bent on exacting revenge and will use his membership in Nato as an umbrella for protection. He will certainly miscalculate and try to do something idiotic...again, but this time he will be reprimanded and held to task by those outside of Turkey that are his allies.
