Angry journalists, who initially boycotted the session, describe subcommittee's claims to be part of a 'witch hunt,' and slam Israel's 'authoritarian' efforts to clamp down on the media.14:27 09.02.16 | 2 comments
Make all prospective citizens of Israel renounce their old citizenship, passports, etc. No more 'dual' allegiances or citizenship. No more ideas of 'if things don't work out, I can always go back'. Then you can attempt to speak of 'loyalty' oaths and to whom they may apply. The only reason for the present oath is to enshrine Israel as an apartheid state. They wish to preempt any challenge, whether democratic, through the voting booth or courts, or not. It is an attempt to eliminate any Arab or non-Jew seeking equality under the law. Therefore, it Israel wishes to perform such an act, the least they can do is make their own citizens know they have to live with the consequences, and not allow them to 'run away' when the chickens come home to roost.
