How much empathy can you expect when the Palestinians and surrounding Arab nations have been fighting a war of annihilation against the Jewish state since before it actually came into existence. They were fighting Israel well before 1967. How do you expect the Israeli's to show sympathy when Palestinians have murdered their Olympic athletes in cold blood and slit babies throats in their sleep? How do you expect Israeli's to show empathy when Hamas dresses up 5 year old kids in army fatigues and give them AK47s and teach them to kill all Jews? If see the conflict from one side then you don't deserve to have a voice. This is a gray conflict that can only be solved through mutual empathy. Both sides have their grievances. Luckily for the Palestinians, Israel has more morality than the Assads, Mubaraks and Gaddafi's or there would be a lot more dead Palestinians. More civilians have died in the Syrian conflict in the past year than in the whole Israeli/Palestinian conflict since 1948.

from the article: If Israel’s supporters want the world's empathy, they must give it themselves
