Shabbat shalom, everyone. What's happening to us? We can condemn and disagree with Goldstone's positions in his infamous report, but how can we ostracize him to the point that he is compelled to not be present at his grandson's Bar Mitzvah? It's such an important, amazing and spiritual moment, and it's meant to be shared with family. To make circumstances so politically hostile that a zeidi cannot attend his own son's Bar Mitzvah is heartbreaking. Sometimes I fear we've politicized ourselves beyond the point of no return. What are we, a bunch of moronic and zealous peasants - or are we to be a light into other nations? Embarrassing and shameful! We need to do some heavy-duty introspection.
