Of course Emanuel/POTUS is fed up - this thing is not taking a year; it has been going on for years! All I can say is that Israel has never had such a great opportunity to get this conflict settled. It is quite possible that this is the first time in history that Israel has had the opportunity to work with two very intelligent savvy American jewish professionals who have the president's ear and complete confidence. They are both Americans of jewish faith; they would and will see to it that a fair deal is brokered; but as Americans would not give away the store in the manner that Israel seems to be seeking. As for those who have encouraged Emanuel and the USA to walk away - just remember that there are no other countries lining up to be your new BFF. America is Israel's only willing friend; all the others would walk away if curry favouring with the USA were no longer important to their country's well being. And god forbid, Israel should be in a pickle sans USA!
