Thus the Torah teaches us how to treat foreigners. And it's neither to jail them nor to deport them. It's to love them, and not to stereotype them as all criminals. For those who are, there is jail. For the rest, there must be empathy. Otherwise you are failing as a Jew, and we are sinning as a Jewish state.
