In the Bible that I read, the Philistines were still around up the time David took over and became king. They took Samson hostage after he was brought in my Delilah, and . . . he tore their house down, as it were. Later, Saul and Jonathan were killed on Mount Gilboa by them. I leave the information regarding the fate of the Philistines after David became king to someone else, but likely David either put them in their place, or they left of their own accord.
