While we're on the subject of ridiculous historical comparisons (olol Iran is the Third Reich!!!), a more troubling parallel can be drawn between the Hebrew Exodus and Palestinian aspirations. A people oppressed by an uncompromising power who largely considers their religion to be backward and often denies them their own culture (as has been shown in this very discussion: "there is no such thing as a Palestinian"), builds walls around them, etc, etc... this story should be pretty well-known to anyone passingly familiar with the Torah. It also unfortunately reflects today's injustice. "Never forget" should also apply to avoiding these echoes of ancient history, not just to remembering the Holocaust.
