Having spent 2 weeks in Egypt just last month, I can attst to the unrest caused by the poor working conditions/pay. Most Egyptians earn around $10/week, and work 6 days a week, 10-12 hours each day. t is absolutely appalling. This has in turn increased the level of begging and demand for tips by people. Tey LIE to get their tip. The level of corruption is absolutely awful. Add to that the military/police checkpoints all through Egypt. Yet on these message boards all we seem to hear is how Israel is oh so bad....repressing the poor, innocent Palestinians. Sorry to disappoint those critics of Israel, but Israel has justification for the roadblocks and curfews. What is Egypt's justification??
