It's like carrying coals to Newcastle. The reason that the Sages of the past centuries didn't allow anyone under forty to study the more speculative texts was that unless you understood everthing around the them subject thoroughly, you would find yourself lack any kind of understanding. As it is there are many people who study those texts, Haredim and others who "just read it", never claiming to understand the half of it--they read the words, and leave it at that. As soon as you imagine you understand even something, its like claiming to understand Astrophysics after reading one book by Stephen Hawking. Yes, there are questions, but we are dealing with people who are not at all like you or I, Rabbi Akiva is chided, and you can find those sources, but that doesn't mean you can start imagining you understand what it is you say you understand. This stuff is heavy duty, not the "academic fluff" that your read in doctoral disserations--It's Sacred, dummy!
