Israel is not a yishuv any longer. it is a grown up country, a State and it is not dependent on contributions from dispora jews assuring that Jews have a foot hold in Palestine. Israel claims to be a democracy in which all its citizens are equal, not a private club based on a trust. Defenders of this racist policy are not asking that religious isntituions be built on this land, but Jewish developments, residential housing. The fact that Jews purchased the land so many yrs ago has nothing to do with it. Israel has taken over Arab owned property in the billions of dollars. Israel cannot have it both ways:declare it is a democracy in which all its citizens are equal before the law or a racist ethnocracy where Jews have priority over non-Jews. You can have a ghetto or a state in which its claims to democracy are backed up by facts. You have already made that decision.
