If Israel quit interfering in the daily lives of Palestinians in the occupied territories and quit making their police force impotent when it comes in at will to conduct "raids", maybe then you'll see a very efficient Palestinian government. Until then, the Palestinians have no power to do anything even in the West Bank where Israel has had peace for a couple years. The Palestinians can't even grant anyone a visa or entry into the West Bank without Israeli approval. It's cut up like cottage cheese with the roadblocks, now imagine how much worse it gets in Gaza when theyre' suffocated by Israel and Egypt? You may not like the fact that you have a Palestinian leader here who emphasizes what the Palestinians have been asking for. NOT ALL OF ISRAEL, but the occupied territories including East Jerusalem and the refugee issue wouldn't bother Israel since they'd be returning to a Palestinian state. However, the status quo will remain that ISRAEL DELAYS A FAIR SOLUTION TO THIS CONFLICT.
