What reality might sway Israel? None. Israel is incapable of any 'honest' or 'open' investigation. Such an investigation would require asking the question ' was a commando assault the ONLY option.? And the answer would be NO. Such an investigation would ask the question of whether collective punishment of Gazans was a legal action. The Answer would be no. Then the question would be is the collective punishment of over a million people a war crime and the answer would be Yes. Thus Israel can allow NO honest investigation of the raid, the blockade, and their consequence. Conclusion: Israel would be wise to get out of the situation on the best possible terms while it still can. Prediction: Netanyahu, Barak, and Lieberman are so criminally Insane that they would drag Israel down with themselves rather than accept the reality of their failure. They would rather see their nation destroyed than take responsibility for their incompetence. Got it?
