I was trying to explain the notion of the glass houses to Mehmet. I am not saying that the Israeli military always acted in a perfect manner. War is hell. The stones that you are talking about might hurt badly and even kill. Would you like to stand in front of me and let me throw you a stone to demonstrate? Of corse not. In fact In Turkey those stone throwing Kurdish teenagers are being caught jailed and often subjet to torture even as I am writing this, every day in Mardin, Tunceli, Gaziantep etc. I have been supporting a 2 state solution as Pres Clinted had offered at Camp David, accepted by the Israeli Knesset but rejected by Arafat. The only solution is to make some compromises and live side by side in peace. However as long as on both sides there are those who would deamonizing the other side there can not be a real peace. First thing is for both parties to start understanding and respecting each oter and accept that there will be a Jweish and an Arab state sidebyside

IfNotNow and the perils of being a 'single-issue' Diaspora Jew

It's little wonder that those who remember they are Jews only when its time to criticize the Jewish state have zero influence on the Jewish community.
