Western Europe cannot be compared with the Middle East in any way. It took the Dutch Protestants and Catholics hundreds of years to manage living together with no barriers. Before the end of the sixties no Jew had the idea of visiting a Christmas Fair in a church. The enmity in the Middle East is on both sides. Though, things are changing. I do not know if you had seen the Israeli documentary movie on Dutch television about Bil’in in the West Bank. The documentary had shuttered my vision about lot of things; the separating wall among them. I see the necessity of the wall, but not the manipulative purposes. I refuse to accept idea’s like grabbing so much land and ruining people lives in the name of the wall. The Bil’in people are not extremists and their matters have to be brought to an international court.
