Mark Lincoln must have watched the movie "Dumb and Dumber" since his comments have evolved over the past six months accordingly. He never comments on actions of the other side other than to minimize the lethal or psychological effect that Qassams, mortars and other attacks have on Israelis in the Negev. He seems to think that all the compromises must come from THE STATE OF ISRAEL. He never states that the Palestinians must take actions accordingly to demonstrate to Israel and the world that they are ready to make peace. Abbas and his predecessors grudgingly denounced terrorism, although they looted the coffers on a regular basis. Hamas was elected by the majority of Palestinians and as such their actions, violence and missile launchings demonstrate no desire to recognize Israel but to continue aggression. On one hand they are THE agressors and as such should be dealt with as any enemy. I don't however believe that Israel should currently negotiate Hamas.

Daniel Barenboim, Israel's voodoo doll
