Reality: sovereignty with a national army for the Palestinians was never on the table. Hence, there was never a two state solution offered, but only a form of autonomy, which has always been rejected by the Palestinians. With that in mind, you propose apocalypse. I see that Israel is only divided itself like Judaism itself: Reformed, Conservative and Orthodox, with the historical remnant of Arabs as a side issue. The commonality of Judaism when faced with Arab implacable animosity will force Israel to function more or less well. Despair is not called for, unless one is a liberal thinking Palestinian who hopes to see his or her society to become Westernized.
