Do you mean the fact of 3years not being able to earn any money? Or maybe missing 3years of studying and proffssional eperiance? Spending 3 years of an age that is crucial for your personality learning how to not question rules and authority and forgeting that normal civil society and social environments work differently? Not being able to extend your intellectual horizans and exploring individual needs in an age you are allowed to, but instead wearing a uniform? I understand the point that israel is in a special situation regarding it's neighbours and that there is a big need for it to protect itself. Maybe there is even a need for a general mandatory service (i hardly doubt it must be 3 years), but if then it is a freaking burdon, it is an act of sacrifising your youth and time and potencially your health. It's a spit in the face to everyone who is aware of it, to call it privilage!
