As an American I remember quite clearly (after the 9/11 attacks), that we had no idea how to get at al Qaeda. We knew that they had no official country and I think we were really baffled by the prospect of finding and killing them. Ten years later we have still not put them out of business but we have built an intelligence network that enables us to actually lay some hurt on them at will. It sure took a while but kudos are due to all involved. Bravo!
