Angry journalists, who initially boycotted the session, describe subcommittee's claims to be part of a 'witch hunt,' and slam Israel's 'authoritarian' efforts to clamp down on the media.14:27 09.02.16 | 2 comments
How is it possible for the citizens of a "Jewish" state not to become a victims of religious laws? People who are not religious or are not Jewish suffer harassment by the majority who expect them to comply with "the laws (religious) of the land. In Western states citizens can live according to their conscience free of the pressure of a state run by a religion. Even Catholics in Rome are free to reject the teachings of their church without having to be concerned about civil penalties or harassment from fellow citizens. A Jewish state is an oxymoron for the simple reason that Judaism is not defined by time-space-place---it transcends all political-territorial communities even that of the territory of Israel.
