Okay, so the dude is Jewish and he has an opinion, but what does he know about Apartheid? In South Africa it meant curfews, restrictions on levels of salary and employment and other basic rights where the priveleges were reservered for Whites. The situation in Israel, as a former South African, who is no less critical, wrote on the pages of HaAretz is that it is not Apartheid. To the extent that there is the presence of the Israeli Army in Judea and Samaria, to the extent that the State of Israel restricts the movement of Palestinian Arabs in Gaza, and, lest we forget Egpyt has sealed off her borders to them as well, and certain systemic issues that involve Arabs in the State of Israel being an ethnic minority, to a certain extent. In macro, Arabs have the same access, in most cases to government offices. The tearing down of houses is often a matter of municipal planning which is meant to serve the public good so . . . it ain't Apartheid!
