The title of this article is more provocative than its content. It has the prevention to explain something complicated in simple words, but it ends in a paradox stems from a legal mish-mash Hague is applied for practical reasons; and the rejection of Geneva is legal/political; not so hypocritical. Post WW International law was invented in order to protect existing sovereighns, not necessarily to help creating new ones. The fact that a given population calls for self-determination does not automatically justifies the call. Many other such communities do, and they do not become sovereighn. This must be determined case by case, the good of the wider circles also come into consideration. It about time to slaughter this Holy Cow called self-determination, and look at the practical AND political aspects before we apply man made 'morals', or call it names. So when Gross says 'return land' to the Palestinians, which plots, and exactly who to? PA, Hamas, Jordan, UN?

from the article: If there are no Palestinians, there's no Israeli occupation
